H.M.S Manchester in Liverpool Sunday 6th February
The current HMS Manchester (D95) is a Type 42 (Batch 3) destroyer in the 5th Destroyer Squadron of the United Kingdom's Royal Navy.
She was laid down in 1978 at Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering, launched in 1980 and commissioned in 1982. Her nickname is the "Busy Bee", from the bee emblem on the ship's crest. This emblem is taken from the crest of the city of Manchester and is also depicted in local industry, such as the Strangeways Brewery of Boddingtons. Be for we got on the ship. http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/2986/img0260up.jpg Almost on http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/9977/img0261cl.jpg Destroyer 95. http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7097/img0262xm.jpg Automatic machine gun. http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/7017/img0266i.jpg Control Deck and anti aircraft missiles. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/3449/img0267fc.jpg Anti aircraft missiles and liver buildings. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/492/img0270ge.jpg Large gun on the deck of the ship. http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/9886/img0268rf.jpg HOPE YOU ENJOYD:cool1 |
