A pic heavy report as I just love this era of building and a highly recommended explore if this is your thing - just watch out for sky rats and wear a dust mask. Unlucky Pierre in tow (hehehe).
This used to be a slate and tile business until it flodedd in the early 90s. For the past few years its been very very slowly cleared out - they didnt do a very good job IMO.

As for the history before the 90s all I can glean is from the architecture, that it once had a dock basin for the barges to pull into and lifting gear to get to the floors above. Being close to the docks it must have been goods that were enroute to and from the docks to be distributed to towns along the canal. Enough of my rambling ignorance about this - to the pics.

crappy 80s offices attached to the side.

on to the older

of course I had to have a swing

some lovely working Avery scales

looking down to the basin entrance

the filled in dock and where the gates used to hang

between the pillars I presume is where the barges went and where the dock is.

I loved this explore a bit of a new favourite in liverpool for the little time capsule areas dotted around the place. A big ta to pierre also the ever present voice of caution.
