Default Gadbury Brickworks the home of NCB Gadbury - 20-06-2009, 20:05

Working on my next book, Atherton Collieries, came across this. Gadbury Brickworks in the 1930's. The original works was an experimental one of about 1914, this site closed shortly after the adjacent pit Gibfield Colliery in 1963.
Used to play there with my sister after it closed making mini houses out of the stacked bricks, really sharp edged common bricks.
Fettler lives near those houses on the left (still there today).
