Visited with Rookie, Set in the heart of many new developments Stubbs Cotton Mill stands out like a sore thumb and it is a shame the state that it has fallen into. However it is good to know that it is being re-developed by Ben Kelly Design/Urbansplash into apartments, offices and a bar/restaurant.


The site produced and assembled machinery for the surrounding cotton mills including those within Ancoats...

great report and nice pics.. unfortunately however I don't think the conversion is going ahead anymore due to the woeful state that Urban splash is in... which will be a big shame as it's such a beautiful building that as you say deserves a better destiny than just crumbling away.
