Default Bricks and aerial ropeways double bill - 10-05-2009, 21:35

Went to Ingleton today to have a walk around the river, everybody's done it at some time or other. On the way I knew we passed by Claughton Brickworks, she who must be obeyed didn't and was none too pleased as I got out for pics
The ropeway brought shale from a quarry about a mile to the south, over the road into the processing plants. Added a brick to the collection.
In Ingleton amazingly came across Bconfined and Sheree, there on a caving and ropework course (or was it bondage I can't remember)

Aerial shot shows bridge over main road

Bridge and main road

Bridge detail, climbed the ladder up to have a root

Heading across the field with large bull denying access

View towards the quarry over the hill

A wotsitsname

These are being delivered to our house next week

Old product

No I'll give nipping in the field a miss!

Claughton is a great place to visit. Pity you didn't get up to the loading station in the quarry.

If you approach a bull banging a big stick on the floor they tend to run the other way in my experience. Not had a problem with one yet.

Love the aerial ropeway.

I drove past Claughton the otehr week but didn't have my camera. I was on the way to Wray on Lune. I thought I had imagined it but clearly not.

Very nice - I've never seen the aerials, just the stumps and bases that have been left where the towers were on other sites.
