Default Burseldon Brickworks Indstrial Museum August 2009 - 20-08-2009, 11:40

Found this little gem whilst working in Southampton, didn't get much time to see it properly but just enough time to get a few pics & have a chat with one of the volunteers who help run this little gem.

Hmm, interesting. The derelict museum at Dunsakin that Tarboat reported on recently (and I went to at the weekend) must have been similar to this. Nice to see that this kind of thing can be made to work on a small scale!

Very nice survey and shots Bobby, you could have pinched me a BBC! I'm glad a brickworks has been preserved somewhere. Those pugmills and moulding machines could date right back to the first generation in the late 1870's early 1880's

Hopefully I'll be back in this neck of the woods soon & do a proper report without rushing.
