I'd find that a cause for some concern...... most of my bricks are of the hard stonelike variety.... not blancmange....

Same here, most of the house is stone but in the attic old repairs have been made from old brick and there's obviously been a leak in the past, you can rub your fingers across then and see the brick dust!

Hasn't collapsed (yet)
