Brunner Mond is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of Sodium Carbonate and the sole producer in the UK. The company has recently been renamed after its Indian parent company Tata Chemicals. however, much of the old signage still remains. This site is still live, and next to the Wallerscote Island works. Aside from what is left on the island, there isn't realy much left on this side of the river, with the main structures having been demoilsed a few years ago.

Ended up here after a rather large fail at Lostock power station at 5am, didn't want to push my luck by going back there later in the day. Had a good mooch round this site before we set off a PIR
