I visited the old quary at Trefor just before Christmas but didnt have a time to have a good look around so went back. The quary is still slightly active but you can hardly tell. Apparently its the granite in the world for curling. It opened in 1850 but officialy closed in 1960 apart fromn the stone required for curling. The quary is located on the A499.

Even though it looks like a large building there is no inside to speak of.

its worth walking up to the top, came across this building half way up

Building more phone masts ??
You can get all the way to the phone masts if you had a 4x4. I didnt so had 2hr walk!!! But it is worth it , great view

Phone mast located on top

though we'd walk up to it while we were here

great view, I love Manchester but you dont get this
