Royal Ordanance Factory Ten, Hooton. ROFTEN October 2013
ROFTEN was a munitions factory making Shell casings throughout WWII. I've waited at least 4 years for this site to become empty & now it has happened. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9992.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9986.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9956.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9947.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9944.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9936.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9934.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9930.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9928.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...2/DSC_9921.jpg |

Glad to see it open, though sad to see what's on the cards. I got chased by security and police when I tried this a while back, scooted down the wirral way and hid in a bunker, lol. Never did post them pics.
Are the console shelters still on the roof? I recognise your icon from a building about a mile away, some nice graff in there. |
Yes the 2 console shelters are still on the roof but I did not try to climb up to them. There are some more pics on 28DL showing the one at the back.
Yes the icon graff is from the nearby building which i'm sure is a related site. ....Lister |

(the one at IWM North isn't a 'local' one, it came from East Midlands Electricity Depot, Robinson Way, Telford Industrial Estate) |
That's right, iirc there were two consul shelters on that roof. Hope they've been saved.
