1 Angel Square, Manchester - Janurary '12

Visited with Gone, Tweek, Robehhh and MaybeNot1330

The final part of my Manchester Trilogy was my first night time rooftop.

1 Angel Square is a high rise building currently under construction in Manchester, England.

Upon completion in 2012, it will become the head office of The Co-operative Group.

The building is the first piece of the £800m NOMA development in the northern quarter of Manchester city centre.

Whilst not the tallest building I've been up - The Royal Liver Building is taller - it's certainly impressive to be standing almost 72.5 meters high on a cloudless night. On a clear night Winter Hill transmitter station is clearly visible - 15 miles away.

A huge thanks to Tweek and Gone for playing tour guides on this one. My first night time roof top was a good one!

I've heard it's a bit hairy now, they've upped security apparently

I was here last week, and I'd certainly say so.

Probably going to be one of those "run for it and hope for the best" explores now ;)

Anyone know why they have a massive Italian flag at the top now? It's been there for the past week draped over a section of the roof? Nice shots btw!
