Dovestones tunnel was built in 1967 to bypass the reservoir from holme clough to ashway gap. It runs dead strait for 1.25 miles , and at about 10 ft diameter seems like overkill for the small streams it has to convey . There's realy not much more history to it and to be honest it's not the most intresting thing in the area.
Holme clough infall.
Stalagtites near holme clough end.
One of the few intresting features , looked like a void in the rock but not to many caves round here ?.
Roof infall.
Towards the outfall.
Extremly gratefull to whoever left a rope here.
