Hey Hey Hey

Just got back from checking out the salford/manchester junction canal, Under GMEX.

This place is insane! The size of some of the areas within here are crazy, you just wouldnt think it was all down there!

Seems its been kitted out with some new lighting, stairway, and also a dome cam!? Wtf's going on lol?

Anyway, Visited by Sneak with Cooney, and also Benson ( But he bottled it last minute and didnt come in! Says it was because he was wearing a blue jumper though, and we was in black..Fair play to him though, it was a last minute plan and the guys was already at my house...Ah we can only wonder ay Benson!)

We started in the main room with the huge brick pillar shafts. The room its self was probably one of the biggest open underground spaces I've seen, at least in in Manchester anyway.

The place its self was quite warm considering it was pretty damn cold outside, It was a good atmosphere for having a good visit. We went out the main room down the stairs into a long room. The roof was nicely arched too. I liked this place

From there we checked out a few more rooms before stumbling across the "secured" area. We ended up just strolling in full on torches, then dived back out. This called for some thinking. Lights out.

Next stage, we came to a room with a few small sections, blast walls, etc, and a drop down into a lower area of the room via a stairwell, which was half full with still freezing cold water. Not much there though anyway. We had some fun light painting in this room. Its my new buzz light painting lol, can get some really cool shots playing with this.

In this room was 2 sets of rather large steps leading up what seemed about 2 levels. All bricked up at the top, id love to know where about it is though!

After this, we took some more photos, checked out the new secured area a bit more thouroughly. We headed up the steel steps that was newly in place, and once at the top it seemed this came out possibly into the gmex, we could hear some random music when we was at the top coming from down the corridor, so we made a hasty retreat back down and away from here..

We stopped for a few more photos, then the friggin camera batteries died, and Cooneys not had the chance to get a spare battery yet, so we decided to call it a night and get the hell out. After a few random looks on our way out we headed to the safety of our car, being kept nice and warm by Benson and his shitty pants...Haha im only joking mate!

Anyway, PICS!
