Re visit for me this site. It opened in 1940 and was built by Saunders Roe. The site was used to manufacture the Catalina flying boat which could be launched on to the Menai straights. The company was changed to Lairds in 1969 and still produced equpment for the armed forces. The company later changed name again to Faun who made specilised vehicles. From looking around the web I struggled to find out when it closed but found out at the re visit - see pic below.

The site is still used for storage in some of the newer buildings but there is not much activity. Planning was put in to build houses on the site but I think it has been knocked back.
